A good friend of mine is getting married today. I hoped that Scott and I would be able to attend and leave Gavin with someone for the afternoon and evening but that ended up not being possible. Our babysitting options are limited and were unavailable and Gavin is not really an easy child to just drop off with someone else for the day, yet. So, I decided I didn't want to miss everything and arranged with Scott that I would go to the ceremony and he would stay home with Gavin.
Scott hung out with Gavin while I got ready to go. I fed Gavin and set Scott up with a couple of bottles, just in case and I was off to the church for the wedding! I am so glad I was able to be there. It was a perfect day for a wedding. The ceremony was so sweet, at a beautiful church and the bride, groom and their families all looked amazing! It was so good to see my friend glowing with her new husband and to get a chance to visit for a few minutes with them and her family.
Scott and Gavin had a good time without me for a few hours. I was glad to be home with them and I was happy that Gavin was clearly happy that I was home. I said hi and then left the room to change and he freaked out! It was so cute. I felt bad because I don't want him to be upset, but it still felt good to be wanted.
Hopefully the next time we have a wedding we will be able to go together and then we can both come home to Gavin and have him be really excited to see us!
